As September settles in, the weather has stabilized and the sea has returned to its crystal-clear, turquoise best.
Rising global temperatures have triggered sargassum blooms across the region, affecting coastal waters worldwide and the Mexican Caribbean. Thanks to favorable ocean currents, Playa del Secreto was fortunate to stay 85% sargassum-free this year, and our waters are fully back to their natural glory.

Playa del Secreto: an exceptional private beach
Beach conditions can change quickly with currents and wind, so we share real-time photos of the beach, updated weekly, along with regular updates here in the Journal. If you have questions about sargassum levels or about planning your visit, get in touch. We are always happy to help.
