    Puerto Morelos, a fishing town located  between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, is only 5 minutes drive distance from Playa del Secreto and Casa Chanty, 25 to Cancun and 10/15 minutes to Playa del Carmen-

    Destination with a low-key population with variety of restaurants featuring fresh fish and native dishes, pharmacy, small medic center and church,  , handicraft shops, money exchange, travel and car agencies, small grocery stores, and the Biggest CHEDRAUY (over the highway) , then outside of the downtown area you will find a Crocodile farm and the  botanical garden.

    The Coral reef here  is the second largest  in the world
    in Puerto Morelos you can snorkel, fishing, make jungle tours &scuba diving.
    You can enjoy dinner in one of the excellent restaurants, pizzerias, pubs or cafes in town and along the beach, one of the nicest to have some fun is Unico Beach.

    The stores: open from 10 am to 1, closed and re-opened from 5 until 9 pm.
    Puerto Morelos is home to many artists and artisans. On the weekends there is an open-air market where you can buy arts and crafts directly.

    In Puerto Morelos, Directly in front of Puerto Morelos about 500 meters from the shore, is the second-largest coral reef in the world; which runs from Puerto Morelos to Belize. Puerto Morelos is a favorite of fishermen because the game fish love the drop off on the other side of the reef, so instead of taking a good piece of your fishing time to get to the "good" fishing areas, it's just minutes away.
