Drive Directions & Rent a Car Info
From Cancun Airport:
- Outside the cancun airport you turn right onto the principal highway, #307,until you see the green signs (Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Tulum,).
- Continue down this highway(you are now driving south) for 30 kilometers (18.5 miles) and reach the traffic light for Puerto Morelos.
- Continue south (straight through the lights) for 8 kilometers ( 5 miles).
- Along the way you will see the green signs, PLAYA DEL SECRETO 4 KM., than on your left you will see the entrance to the EL DORADO ROYALE HOTEL.
- drive till the next MAYAN PALACE Hotel ,And take the turn there, RETURN in the opposite drive directions for exactly 900 meters you see on your right side hand the Hotel Valentino's and after few meters on the same side you SEE THE SIGN OF PLAYA DEL SECRETO.
- Turn RIGHT (the only direction you can turn) onto a small road for PLAYA DEL SECRETO, you see the private guard gate at the entrance, please tell him you are Casa Chanty guest than pass it, and turn left,drive till the end of the road then turn left again, just meters you will see CASA CHANTY on your RIGHT hand side (beach side).
Turn into the driveway – the gate should be open, please drive in and stop the car back the house, on the right side there is a small bulding is the reception of Casa Chanty, Damian our employed or my husband Alberto that live on site, he provide you assistance and the keys.
Transportation from Cancun Airport
Rent a Car:
If you are getting a car for a week or more, book it at least a week out and get it at the airport. All the big companies are represented at the airport. We usually book our cars on Travelocity or Expedia (use the Canadian versions (.ca) if you are from Canada) and go with the cheapest option.

Rental car as low as $16.00 usd a day!!! Cars at $96 usd a week!!! During Xmast week!!! My suggestion is renting a car online in this website , you can pick up comfortable your car right ourside the airport, and save moneys for taxis.
Book A Private Trasport:
There are a bunch of companies that do this. We like Vic at
CancunValet.com. Cost is $50 US one way or $95 return for a vanload (up to 10 persons).
Or use BEST DAY valet service.
Taxi:
Book a taxi at one of the booths on the way out of the airport. Cost is about $50 US per taxi, up to 4 persons. It will cost about $25 when you go back to the airport from Playa del secreto.
Public Transport:
Book it at the booth on the way out of the airport. Cost is about $15-17 US per person to PLAYA DEL SECRETO. Two companies, Grey Line or Greenline. Booths are just outside the airport at the bottom of the ramp.
Cheapest Way to go to Playa del Secreto (if you don't have to much lagguage)
ADO BUS SERVICE from CANCUN AIRPORT TO P.TO MORELOS terminal bus beside the seven eleven than you take the TAXI beside of OF THE "SEVEN ELEVEN STORE" it cost 15usd (the way) and in only 5 minutes you are in PLAYA DEL SECRETO.
